When paper coffee filters are bleached white with chlorine, they can contain traces of toxic chemicals from the bleaching process, including dioxin.
Use unbleached or oxygen-bleached paper filters. Even better, get a reusable coffee filter. Reusable filters come in may varieties, made of hemp, stainless steel, gold, or nylon.
